Back at it, again

We are back at it again

Locking down

Working from home

Unsure and uncertain

Fearful and fatigued

Cases rise

We wonder where we went wrong

Or what the future will hold

It felt good to be a little free again

And many dread isolation

Especially at this time of year

We stay apart so we can come back together

As a whole

And hopefully everyone will be well and safe

We wear masks but they may not help

In the face of this new variant

Immunosuppressed and concerned

But vaccinated and safe

It’s kind of terrifying

No one wants to spread it

No one wants to get it

But it’s a reality now

It seems the end is closer than ever

Before we know it two years have passed and we have come so far

With technology

Safety and care is essential

Work and school plans updated again

Online relationships are now essential

So while we continue to fight the pandemic

We can also remember

Things will get better in time

And we will get back at it again
